BCGS Founding Members

The BCGS was born back in 1971 when a small group of like-minded individuals joined together to provide education and assistance to members researching their family histories and to preserve BC records for the future. Read more about the BCGS history here.

In 1971 the annual membership fee was one dollar; by 1976 the fee had risen to ten dollars per year.

The Founding Members List contains the names of the 339 people who joined the Society during its first five years.
