Join us for an Open Research Day at the BCGS Library - the largest genealogical library in Western Canada. This is an opportunity for you to access the library’s many resources - check our our map collection, the new databases on our library computers and of course, the thousands of books and journals on our shelves. We are also a Family Search Affiliate, so you can view images at our library that you may not be able to see at home.

Kindertech is an ongoing in-person workshop on the third Saturday of each month from 10am to noon at the BCGS Library and Research Centre.

Kindertech is intended to teach very simple computer techniques and to help attendees use their computers for family history.

Previous sessions have covered screenshots/screengrabs, blog reader apps, and Google apps (Docs, Sheets, Drive). Email kindertech@bcgs.ca if you have suggestions for future topics.

The facilitators are Margaret Sharon and Meg Riter. This is a hands-on workshop; bring your own device (laptop, tablet and/or phone) so you can practice at your own pace with as much support as you need.

No registration is required.

The facilitators are Margaret Sharon and Meg Riter. This is a hands-on workshop; bring your own device (laptop, tablet and/or phone) so you can practice at your own pace with as much support as you need.
